Interested in learning more about Danielle on a personal level? Check out the interview our team did with her below!

How did you get started in your business?

I was looking for a business community of women that I could be apart of locally where I live in Vancouver, Canada, and couldn't find what I was looking for.

So I started hosting my own events and that lead to starting a brand and eventually launching our global community: "Business Babes Collective"

Favorite hobbies or passions outside of the business?

I love riding my cruiser bike in the trails by my house,  reading/listening to podcasts, and I used to compete in waterskiing when I was young and now I love doing this for fun in the summer and snow skiing in the winter.

What keeps you inspired?

A big thing that keeps me inspired is when I see our Mastermind & Action Takers Club Members experiencing wins in their businesses and when I see them collaborating with each other. It reminds me of why I started this business in the first place: to create a thriving community!

I also make sure to continually learn new things and surround myself with inspiring people who push me to be a better version of myself.

What is one of the most challenging hurdles you've faced in business?

Where do I start! ;) I've had so many challenges as I've grown my business. From changing the structure of the business to growing as a leader to learning about my business finances. Every step of my entrepreneurial journey has come with challenges. But that's what allows you to grow and to become more resilient.

How has COVID affected your business and how have you pivoted?

Since COVID we have completely re-structured our business. For the past 5 years, we've been hosting Monthly "In-person" events and we've had to completely pivot our offerings online. This has been a challenging pivot but has opened up so many opportunities for us!

Where do you see yourself and your business in 5 years?

I see our community continuing to expand and grow across the globe and us offering more online resources, courses, programs, community initiatives, and continuing to expand our Action Takers Club program and Mastermind. I also see us hosting an in-person retreat someday somewhere tropical!

What do you do to educate yourself as an entrepreneur? (Books, podcasts, courses, etc.)

I'm always investing in new courses, hiring coaches, reading new books, listening to podcast, etc. Whenever I feel stagnant or "stuck", I know it's because I haven't been learning new things or investing in myself recently.

What are your top 3 tips for business owners who are just starting out?

1. Surround yourself with others who are also chasing big goals and dreams. You need a supportive community around you to grow a successful business.

2. If you want to scale your business, Invest in your education, and in coaches/masterminds so you can save yourself years of trial and error.

3. Just start- It is so easy to put off that big goal or project. Think about what that first action step is and then take it.
